Defrosting
Wrap me in warm woolens,
envelop me in down,
festoon me with furs from
my sole to my crown.
Turn up the radiator,
bestow a sizzling kiss,
cuddle me in cozy arms;
I'll bask in your bliss.
You have such a warm heart,
and it's kind of you to share it.
But my feet will still be frozen--
I hope that you can bear it.

I can hardly stand to look at her feet - brr!
ReplyDeleteGreat poem!
With your rhythm and rhyme, the poem is fun to read and read aloud. I had to smile at the ending because my feet are always cold and somebody always complains!
ReplyDelete"No one knows, tiddly-pom..."
